Luggage on a Private Driving Tour
Match your luggage needs with the vehicle arrangement

Home > Driving Tour Booking Questions > Luggage Planning
Passenger numbers and luggage needs are separate parts of a tour request. Six people with small day bags present a different planning question from six people with full-size suitcases and a stroller. Describe what your group will actually bring before agreeing on the travel arrangement.
The main Old San Juan driving tour has group pricing for 1-6 and 7-14 guests. These tiers do not state a bag allowance or confirm that every combination of people and belongings will fit. A clear inventory helps you ask the right questions without guessing at capacity.
Count by size and type
Ask each traveler for the items they expect to have at pickup, then combine the answers into one list. Distinguish large suitcases from cabin-size bags and small personal items. Include belongings usually left out of a suitcase count, such as camera cases, folding strollers or mobility equipment.
- List the number of large cases, smaller cases and personal bags.
- Give dimensions for oversized or unusually shaped items.
- Describe folding equipment in the form it will be transported.
Map the handoffs
Write down where bags will be before pickup and where they need to be at the end. If a hotel is holding them, verify that arrangement with the hotel and decide whether collection occurs before the tour. Include loading access in the meeting discussion rather than assuming bags can be moved directly from a lobby to a waiting vehicle.
- Identify any collection task before the agreed start.
- Clarify where loading and unloading would happen.
- Check whether the endpoint has its own bag-handling arrangements.
Keep essential belongings with you
Choose a compact personal bag for items you need to access during the outing. Ask how belongings would be handled during any agreed stop, and do not assume unattended storage or security services. If the full inventory cannot be accommodated, reconsider the day's sequence or independently arrange suitable storage before finalizing the tour.
Update the list when the day changes
A tour between hotel nights can have a very different load from a trip after cruise disembarkation. Recheck the bag list if checkout, flight arrangements or another traveler changes the plan. If bags must be left somewhere, confirm that separate arrangement with the provider; do not assume storage is part of the driving tour.
Questions and Answers
Does the 7-14 guest tier guarantee space for 14 suitcases?
No. The tier describes guest numbers for pricing, not a luggage allowance. Submit the full passenger and bag inventory for review.
Can we add bags after confirming?
Report the change promptly and request an updated arrangement. Extra belongings can affect what is practical even if the number of guests remains unchanged.
