Post-Cruise Driving Tour Before Your Flight
Coordinate disembarkation, sightseeing and your flight

Home > Driving Tour Pickup Guide > After Your Cruise
After a cruise, the key planning question is when your whole group will be off the ship with its luggage. The time the vessel reaches port and the time you are ready to meet a vehicle are different parts of the morning.
If you want to explore San Juan before a hotel stay or onward flight, tell us about both ends of that plan. We can discuss the driving-tour request once the pickup location, baggage and finish requirements are clear.
Use your actual disembarkation instructions
Share the ship name, date and terminal given by the cruise line, along with the expected disembarkation arrangement. Keep any later instructions from the ship available. Old San Juan piers and Pan American piers are in different districts; do not choose a downtown meeting point solely because the itinerary says San Juan.
- Distinguish an estimated exit time from a confirmed meeting time.
- Explain if members of the party expect to leave separately.
- Ask how to communicate once everyone has collected their belongings.
Describe everything traveling with you
List checked-size suitcases, smaller bags and any mobility equipment. A passenger count alone does not describe the space your party needs after a cruise. Keep essential travel items with the person responsible for them, and ask about vehicle fit before confirmation. Do not base the plan on assumed storage at the port or in the tour vehicle.
Set the onward destination first
For an airport finish, supply the flight and the airport arrival requirement you have checked with the airline. For a hotel finish, say whether you plan to check in, leave bags or simply reach the property; confirm any hotel arrangements directly. Ask whether the proposed endpoint can be accommodated and how much time remains for sightseeing after the connection needs are considered.
Give the onward flight its own checklist
Have the departure airport, airline requirements and the time you need to be ready for check-in available before requesting a route. Distinguish an airport drop-off request from permission to use all the hours between ship arrival and flight departure for sightseeing. The final arrangement must account for both ends of the day.
Questions and Answers
What if leaving the ship takes longer than expected?
Contact us as soon as you know your expected readiness has changed. Ask about the plan for delays before confirming; this guide does not establish waiting terms or a revised tour duration.
Can the tour finish at SJU?
You may request an airport finish. Provide your flight, luggage and timing requirements so the arrangement can be reviewed; do not treat it as a confirmed transfer or flight-connection guarantee.
